this gun that I have to consider when buying?
hey guys, I was planning on getting a 700p, but funding will fall short in any case I'm looking to buy a new rifle most prob be 308, but I do not know what. This rifle is not really for targets for hunting if I want a nice heavy barrel similar to prefer 700p barrel floating beds and I do not want to get the floating barrel and beds and of course a precise minimum of 1 moa. Will be shooting 500 yards and get a Leupold mark 4 long range on it. Really looking for a long term tactical / target rifle i was placed on the remington 700p but cannot afford at the moment may be the next weapon so that any suggested looking tikka rifles, wild, Remington others if so, what models?
Savage has a good line of precision firearms at affordable prices. All the extras you get are going to bump prices a little. He can put beyond a Remington 700 original price. New is the best way but you can try a little patience and look around for a good use. Local arms dealers, gun shows, news papers, bulletin boards, gun clubs are all good starting points. Always get a second opinion from someone who knows the gun for a real value of those you are considering. You can even have a competent gunsmith well to examine all potential unforeseen problems.
