Scope Rings !?!?! Please?
Hello, I just bought a Nikon 3-9x40 scope that I want to ride Savage on my .22. Rings What do I ride? Hi, There are two (or three) things I'm careful when I get rings for a scope. These are the diameter range 1), 2) mounting base, and 3) iron sites. 1) Scope diameter of course, the rings you have to adapt to reach you. 1 are the most common fields (where the long tube is within the scope of an inch in diameter), but there are others. The rings are linked you to a "scope. So as long as your Nikon scope has a 1" tube, it should go. 2) Mounting Base guns-.22 RS generally come in two variants, those with bases and dovetail with those bases weaver. The two are generally not interchangeable, and so rings to mount a dovetail does not mount a weaver. So you should look at what the mounting base of your gun a. My brother Savage MkII Buffy Weaver mounts. The rings that you have accessed using dovetail mounts. I linked a picture below for you that combines a dovetail and a Weaver Mount. I am not suggesting that you buy it, it just so you can see the difference. The rail on top is a rail line dove, and the railway on the bottom / side is a Weaver. Just so you can know that you have. 3) iron sites, sometimes you can use your iron sights (if your gun has them) instead of the range. To do this, you need to make a pair of rings which increase scope so that you can use your iron. But as 0700 Nitro proposed, mostly low-rise rings will result in greater accuracy at most ranges. So, it's yours. As for prices, with a .22 LR you are about right in using parts of Airsoft cheap, because the recoil on the .22 LR is negligible. Winchester is a good brand, and while I suggest you stick with Winchester, you can always get something less expensive. Just do not try to change your scope to something with more kick! Good luck!
