For medical professionals, please .. What does this mean for a dentist prescribe RX out of reach ..?
of practice? I worked (for 5 years) for a dentist drugs commonly prescribed pain, sleeping pills and tranquilizers for staff Office and family, unrelated to dental issues, including me. He authorized me to write and / or call for the same rx. Recently He pulled me to do so and has filed a criminal complaint with local authorities. Do I have any defense and / or appeal? I always been a law-abiding citizen and took him at his word that I was allowed to write said RX. He even led the way how to write and sign his name. I am very concerned about it. All boards of health professionals will be really appreciated. He also prescriptions written several times that I know that people he had never met, much less tested for drugs such as Vicodin, Diflucan and antibiotics for a kidney infection.
U r screwed. Unless u have been to medical school and graduated, It is illegal for u to write a prescription for a drug regardless of the dr says u do or not. I guarantee u that if she went to court, the dr would not stand up and say "Oh yes, I allow him to brief requirements all the time." It is also outside the scope of his practice, he is writing scripts sleeping pills. The best u can do is to report to the board dental and hope they investigate and revoke its license. Never write a bag for any drug. Only a doctor can do that. Good Luck.
