Ruger 10/22 scope / mounting advice?
I'm new to guns in general and I'm looking for a mount that fits my Ruger 10/22 rifle with the rings: Millett Angle-Loc Steel Smooth drift adjustable ring, 1-inch - Medium (9-Weaver Base) to go with this context: Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn 3-9x40 Riflescope w/3.3 Eye Relief I realize this is probably a stupid question but I prefer to ask before is purchased and not having to deal with returns. Can anyone tell me a good foundation that will go well with these rings? Also the views and opinions on the scope would be appreciated. I try to keep it under $ 100. He had some decent reviews. I tried to display the address both the scope and rings but obviously Yahoo! not let me. But they are both on Amazon if you need to see what they are. Thank you in advance! A few small things I read that I was under the impression that you must buy one separately, or one that came with the weapon was not great.
MidwayUSA.com a good choice on the basis for 10/22. With all its popularity, there should be multiple choice - just read the reviews and choose the one you love. Since its only a .22, it will not matter whether the base is steel or aluminum, do not worry about that. But as someone else said - you have standard size rings so you will need a basic size, not the 7 / 8 "path iron that came with the gun when it comes to field -. I'm sure others will disagree - but I really do not like something Bushnell. In my life shooting, the recoil of my 243Win. broke a lens inside a Bushnell scope, another Bushnell 3-9-50 I was put on a cloudy to 300Mag From day 1, and I heard others complain of Bushnell quality, as not holding zero. So if you want a scope, you must reset each time you bump something - Moving forward with the Bushnell Banner. Also, I would not recommend the 3-9 for a .22. Just a little too big for the .22 standard rifle and cannon. A better choice would be Nikon 2-7x32. And as much as I hate Wal-Mart, it is quite cheap there at about $ 120. I have this scope on my Marlin .44 lever gun and place of zero for three years so far without any problems.
