What is the command to mount a virtual box filesystem (*.vdi) in Linux Mint host?
I want to mount it in /mnt/vbox
I just recently studied how to do this myself. First, you cannot mount a dynamically sized image, only one that is a fixed size (one that always occupies the same amount of space). Secondly, you have to find the place in the image where the the actual data is placed, past the heading. It will be farther down in the file, and usually some key words will jump out right away, like "MSDOS" or "NTFS". You can find this in a hex editor. Then mount it like this:
sudo mount -o loop,offset=12345,umask=000 foo.vdi /mnt/vbox
