Fixing and mounting platforms Box Tree?
I have an oak 10 inch branches. I will build a platform of 4 x 6 beams of 4 branches. Two branches are horizontal, and two are oblique. I'm not worried about the seals at the horizontal branches, but which is the best way to connect oblique joints? Both are about 45 degrees. I intend to use 1 of each half-inch lag bolts galvy 3-4 inches of penetration in the industry. Is it a lag bolt enough? If not, how many bolts can be installed without risk to the health of the tree? If the extra bolts be in vertical alignment (vis-à-vis the length of the branch) or offset. How about belts?
sounds like you already have a diploma Engineering
