Two son of son of the switch and two wall. Will you get the light wall. How?
The house was built in the 50s. Two son are coming against the switch and two son are down from the top of the wall. I do not see a third wire. I joined the son of light left wall of the left son and son in law son son right and light stayed on, when I moved the switch was thrown breaker. So I can mix and used the switch would not light work. It seems a thread can be white and one black. Help please!
The wire down the wall is probably the power line. The wire going to switch is intended to change the hot lead only. Check the cables on the switch. There is probably a black and white on the switch. Want to hook the white wire from above the white wire to the light. Hook the black wire coming from above on the black wire to the switch. Hook the white wire coming from the switch to the black wire on the light. If you're taking it in black electrical tape and tape the two ends of the white wire that goes to the switch. This indicates that these an energized conductor.
