Entertainment system mounting ideas .....?
I have a hole in my wall above my fireplace that fits my TV 47 inch flat screen. The width of the space is exactly the width of the TV. I am 10 inches above the tv to work with. I discuss what to do since the creation of a sort of stand below or above my tv to keep my satellite box or DVD. The hole in the wall is near the ceiling (which starts at about 5 feet to 8 feet), so I prefer to build something to hold the DVD player / box above the TV. Anyone have links, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You might consider building 2 or 3 shelf out of plywood. If made in a 1 piece unit, it can easily be suspended from [joist] ceiling or wall [poles]. Of course you can also create or purchase media shelving and racking equipment. Cut to fit, if necessary, and be sure to mount on poles or support solid only.
