The AR-15 platform for the future of hunting?
History has proven that hunters and sportsmen use shotguns that were formerly used by the military of the past. I saw people deer hunting with a Mauser 98k range, the surplus Lee-Enfield .303, 1903 Springfields, Mosin Nagant and SKS rifles littermates. Most of the actions of today still use the Bolt Action Mauser style. The soldiers who come Battlefields and the return to civilian life, sometimes the hunt will be with the same gun they used during the war. Variants of the AR-15 family is very large, RAs are made not only in 0223 but in 0204 Ruger, 0308 Win, .300 Rem UltraMag, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, .450 Bushmaster, .22 LR, 9 x 19 Parabellum, .45 ACP, and even . Remington decided to jump into the business of manufacturing AR-15, and the general manager of Remington said that the AR platform is the future hunting and that is why his company is headed in that direction. What do you think about this? Is this the platform of the future AR rifles?
Maybe not specifically the AR15, but certainly the AR platform. In the past 5 years or so there has been many new templates count. There is even AR10 shooting 30-06 for now. Thats amazing. And you can get the SOCOM 0450 for the murder of all that breathes 250yds or two and you can even get bolt action Top 50 caliber BMG (BMG yes!) That allow serious blow to the power to a thousand or more. The platform has definitely taken off recently. Kill all the 50AE that breathes to 100yds for sure. Now, using a .223 or even a regular AR15 6.5grendal or 6.8spc that is easy to obtain and Balance price would you limited to small game such as coyotes, deer, etc. AR10 platform may be configured to kill everything else. The accuracy and reliability is not good market but it can certainly be done. bolt action rifles will always be more accurate, more reliable and more accurate though. Never forget. So I see AR management of some types of hunting, but certainly not all aspects of it.
