Can I put a scope on my Mosin-Nagant?
I recently received a Mosin-Nagant and originally I intended to use lightly and for display, but I heard it's a very accurate gun. I have a scope on it, but the problem in my Bolt Handle would hit the scope if I had one on. Also, I do not have rails or a rail to places on the gun so I was wondering if their is a railway or adapter I could put a scope of this weapon, and if there is a bolt that could replace one I have. I think I have a 1941 Mossin-Nagant and on the side, he said Russia and M91/30 is a 7.62x54r. Any help would be great, thank you!
Easiest way is to forget all the other stuff. The Russian army is about 50,000 of such fields, so no reason you can not do it too. Want to keep your gun home, then do so. Get a medium that replaces the rear leaf sight, mounting a long eye relief field. They are much better quality than they were several years ago and the mounts are made in USA. Ald you do not drill holes, all press holes, weld the pieces on your gun or saw any bolt-off handles. Look at B-Square or S & K mounts. Trouble-Nagant are Moisin usually in the litter (warping stock from long storage) or in the forestock, which is very long and thin. Float the barrel, leaving a 1-inch Pressure funds point to the front of the wood. Chambers of action and strong room with Acra-Glas Brownell. Clean the bore and ammunition GOOD use. Do not expect results in the national championship with 40 years of Soviet machine gun ammunition. Do it right and these things can be done to pull, and very well. good thing is that they work very well in 50 below and they pack the punch of a .30-06. You will receive your personal best loading manual with .312 "bullets. Ordinary 0.308 s are too small for the bore, just rattle down the barrel and then look for a more or less forward to Go at.
