Can I change a tactical Remington 870?
I recently received a brand new Remington 870 shotgun as a gift. This a big gun, and my father told me how to change any / accessories are for her. I searched the internet and try to find some mods for tactical firearms. For example, the attachment infallible light under the barrel, rail and may be carriers for sites tactics, shorter barrel, stocks, mail? I found a bit on the net, but I am under the impression that you need a different version the 870, true or false? Just general information about modifying this great weapon is appreciated. I heard the word "tactic" used in reference to guns accessories years now and still not exactly what it means that you and other seem to use the word. Since then I have one or two degrees in military history and "tactical", you'd think it would be clear, but I'm still trying to get a mental understanding on which the word "tactical" has come to mean black plastic accessories that bolt on a weapon Firearms and usually means a ridiculous amount of accessories as unnecessary and sometimes dangerous lazers, lights, etc.. I can understand why an officer may need one day on a weapon .... but to defend my house from an intruder, the last thing I want is to give my position, sacrificing my advantage turf. The term applies much better I think is "Mall Ninja". Semantics aside, you can buy a set of things for your Buch Remington 870 that should work ..... barrels, stocks, magazines, clip Weaver / Picatinny Rails, so careful to spend much more .... probably model you want is actually sold as you want to install and you can do better to buy a stock synthesis model short barrel and outright than to change all parts of your model hunting.
