What is the price affordable, but long term rifle w / better opportunities to 900 + yards shooting hobby?
I'm just starting to enjoy shooting hobby. I love playing counterstrike games in the PC and I want to be able to get the real thing at a shooting range. i plan to buy firearms each category (pistol, machine gun, sniper rifle) for collection and hobby, but I want to buy the best, but affordable. I need your help. also what are the requirements regarding weapons owners are concerned. I am a responsible person and I live in Missouri. this gun, submachine gun and sniper rifle do you recommend? Initially I like the Super 38 caliber pistol, AR-15 or M4 Commando and Steyr AUG and Steyr Scout rifle w scope. thanks
Bound by husband: Thanks for a good question that seems to clarify your intentions. The real world of shooting is not like a video game. In the real world of shooting there are many variables to consider, develop many skills and much more than just pulling a trigger. Probably the most important question is to ask the eligibility for gun ownership. First and foremost, under federal law, a convicted felon can not possess a firearm. We can a person be convicted or pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence. In addition, under federal law a potential gun owner must be at least 18 years to puchase a rifle or a shotgun (and ammunition as well) and 21 years to buy a handgun and ammunition that could be chambered in a handgun. In addition, any person who looking to buy a "machine gun" must have a Class III federal tax stamp. In addition, most avid shooters do not possess or continue machine guns. Regarding the purchase of handguns, you must decide what you want your handgun and be honest with yourself. If your priority is either target shooting or hunting and self defense is a distant third priority, you can see a gun. If you're looking for to exclusively target shooting, watch a high quality (steel) semi-automatic pistol. If you are looking for hunting only, you can watch either Thompson Center Contender (which accepts interchangeable barrels) or a magnum revolver with a 6 "barrel or above. If the self-defense is a lower priority handgun either a revolver or semi-automatic or an alloy or steel or polymer sufficient. With regard to long range rifle, you should never refer to it as a sniper rifle if you want to be taken seriously, but you can still watch the sniper rifle to military advice. Personally, I like the 700 Remington rifles varmint series as a foundation for long range target rifle. For 1000 yard rifle, you want to select a cartridge that is a thousand-yard speed is at least 1,121 feet per second (fps) so the ball can be controlled. As a simple rule for thumb this leaves you with 308 and 0.30 to 06 among the non-magnum cartridges. In addition, you want at least 24 "long barrel (or more) that is at least 1 inch in diameter. Instead consider barrel shotgun deer. Although 0.38 is a Super cartridge interesting its applications are limited. The AR-15 (or the military "firearms space" equivalent) are interesting. Their application practice is almost close to 600 yards with the gun and the ball hits a good right weight. While Steyr Aug is a weapon of assault interesting type that does not have an acceptable level of competition in American or U.S. target ranges. To learn the game, look to the shooters to target and engage you in the competition target. To become good, you have to shoot a lot, which means that you should charge.
