Can stainless steel rings make your finger turn green?
or is it just a reaction with copper?
Rings Stainless steel will not make your finger turn green. It's just the copper content. cheap gold colored rings are usually of copper in them and they will make your finger green if they are wet or if your hands sweat a lot. This is essentially the copper rust only. If you have a ring you love that transforms your finger green, you can paint nails clear polish on the inside of the ring. It comes off after a while though and there are probably a better coating for metal.
