Then afer much deliberation, I decided to contact a guy I had a big thing for the last 6 months. We we kissed once (ahem made), but did not pursue relationship b / c he was going through a divorce and clearly not ready to date again. We email a few times. Hung a few times (just nice), but it's a fair bit of die off. I decided not to pursue b nothing / c he was not ready and he did the same. He knows that I love. But he did not know I had a crush on him since 6 mnts (We do not talk about the same 4). I want to know so that I will not have to wonder about it more but I'm really anxious do. Should I send him an email, or simply call him a friendly text msg "hello"? I do not want to embarrass myself and I would just put the ball in his court. Suggestions? And what can I say?? Any advice would be helpful.
Personally, I would say and start a conversation. Let segue that conversation at a dinner and see where it goes from there. Beware though, it is possible that in his mind you were a rebound. If so, you may lose your time. I would not bet on him the bank ... In other words, make this call with no waiting. If it is game, then it is a bonus. If not, then it's his loss.
